Kelly Rowland With The New Deal

Kelly Rowland is back in business. Last year she split from her longtime record label, Columbia Records and Matthew Knowles management, and has just signed a new deal with Universal.

Universal Motown head Sylvia Rhone announced today that Kelly Rowland’s their newest talent on the roster and Kel’s still working on her album:

“I think Kelly is an immensely talented, gracious, and beautiful woman, and I am thrilled about the opportunity to work with her on what’s turning out to be an amazing album,” said Ms. Rhone. “For an artist, whose career began as a member of a landmark group like Destiny’s Child, Kelly has truly come into her own and I am deeply inspired by her incredible energy.”

And Kelly couldn’t be happier. She said in her announcement today:

“I could not be happier working with Sylvia Rhone and the entire Universal Motown staff,” stated Ms. Rowland. “They have really embraced me and have set me up to succeed. I decided, after careful thought, to sign with Universal Motown not only because of their track record of success, but also because they truly put their artists first.”

Kelly has also added on a new management team, and in her new contract, she’s allowed full control over her albums and career. Currently, Ms. Kelly is in the studio working on her new single 'Commander,' with producer/singer David Guetta.

Naomi is Going to Court

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has received a subpoena to testify about the blood diamond she allegedly received from former Liberian president Charles Taylor. The request comes from the attorney of Naomi's modeling agent, Carole White. White, along with actress Mia Farrow, is testifying about Naomi's receipt of several uncut diamonds at a dinner party at Nelson Mandela's house in South Africa in 1997.

Charles Taylor is being charged with using the sale of blood diamonds to purchase weapons for revolutionaries involved in a bloody rebellion in Sierra Leone. Naomi has famously refused to comment on the issue, saying that she does not want to get involved.

Naomi is no stranger to controversy, of course. Her history of tantrums and her physical abuse of hired help is almost legendary. This is just another chapter in her crazy life and we can't wait to see what happens next—and what she wears to court.

The Oscar-winning beauty and her 34-year-old former partner – who split up last month after five years together – have failed to come to an agreement for care arrangements of their daughter while the actress is filming in South Africa, so the Canadian model has decided to travel with her to care for the tot.

A source said: “Halle is going to pay Gabriel to be a kind of full time nanny and to come to South Africa for the three months she’s there, and to be Nahla’s full-time caregiver.

“Halle has a huge house that’s being rented for her and she and Gabriel are going to try to live under the same roof and get along for the sake of Nahla. Heaven only knows how that’s going to work out, as they haven’t been on the best of terms lately, but they do both love their daughter so maybe they can make it work.”

However, the 43-year-old actress is said to be so concerned about the living arrangements she has come up with an alternative solution if things should not work out.

 “Halle has got a contingency plan though. If it doesn’t work out with them both living in the same property, she has agreed to rent a house for Gabriel near where she will be staying, and then he gets to look after Nahla all day while she’s working, and return to his place at night.”

How to Prevent Stretch Marks During Pregnancy

How good would you feel if you knew the secrets of how to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy? Your body will undergo many changes during your pregnancy, but many of those changes will disappear soon after your baby is born. Stretch marks are one change that won't go away or at least not very easily. The following healthy pregnancy tips are the key to the secrets that unlock the mystery of how to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy.

Tip #1: A Healthy Diet For Pregnant Women

Stretch marks typically appear during the 6th and 7th months of pregnancy. The number one reason for stretch marks is that the skin is forced to stretch too much, too quickly. Like a piece of elastic, if you over stretch it, it won't return to its original length because it will lose some of its elasticity, and you may even find that it becomes wrinkled along the edges. The same can happen with your body.

Eating a healthy diet controlling your weight gain during the course of your pregnancy is the best way to prevent that from happening. This gives your body, especially your tummy, time to adapt to your growing baby. A healthy diet during pregnancy is rich in nutrients and includes foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains and cereals, and lean proteins.

During your pregnancy if you are in the normal weight band you will gain about 25 to 35 pounds (10 - 13 kilos). If you are underweight a little more and if overweight you should gain a little less. If you can keep your weight gain within the recommended range then you have unlocked the secret "how to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy".

Tip #2: Make Water Your Best Friend

Water is your best friend when you are looking to understand how to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. You need to drink plenty of water - at least 8 glasses a day and more if the weather is hot or if you exercise. If you are not drinking enough water then your skin will become dry and it will not have the elasticity that it needs to handle the stretching during pregnancy. And of course it is also necessary to drink plenty of water to keep your growing baby healthy.

Tip #3: Pamper your skin

Moisturizing your skin and protecting it from the sun is very important for maintaining suppleness and elasticity. Pick a moisturizer with a sun protection factor of at least 15 and check with your pharmacy for pregnancy safe moisturizing creams. While most commonly used products are completely safe there are some creams that contain a handful of ingedients that doctors recommend you avoid such as "retinoids" which are commonly used in anti-aging creams.

There are many moisturizing creams that may be suitable but it's important to test them on a small part of your skin as not all moisturizers suit everyone.

The best way to apply the moisturizing cream is to gently rub it onto your body in a circular motion. A circular motion helps to bring blood flow to the surface of the skin and helps to keep it healthy.

Using these healthy pregnancy tips should help you understand how to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy or at least make them less noticeable if they do appear.

So stay healthy and enjoy your pregnancy.

The historical film “Winnie”

Actress/singer Jennifer Hudson and her co-star actor Terrence Howard announced their upcoming historical film “Winnie” Saturday (May 15) in Cannes, France at a press conference during the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.

Production for the biopic, based on the life of South African politician Winnie Mandela, kicks off May 31st in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Robben Island, where former South African president Nelson Mandela was held as a prisoner for nearly 20 years. Jennifer will play Winnie and Terrence will play Nelson in the Darrell Roodt-directed film.

LSZ News Source caught up with her at the Cannes Film Festival where she was promoting her upcoming biopic about Winnie Mandela. Our favorite Dream Girl was looking ravishing in blue as she talked about how much this new film means to her personally.

"I am so excited and so honored and can't wait to get started. We start in the next week and I'm ready to go to Africa for the first time," Hudson said.

She and costar Terrence Howard hadn't met face-to-face to discuss the role until today, but both stated they plan to do some rehearsing before principal photography gets underway.

The actress also gave us an update on her new baby she had with fiancé David Otunga, David Daniel Otunga Jr.

"He's very good. He just turned nine months and he has three teeth now," she said.

"It's coming up. Everything's all ready to go," she said.

A lot of rumors have been going around lately regarding R & B singers Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, and Neyo. What is really going on????

Less than a week since the divorce between Producer Swizz Beatz and R&B singer Mashonda was finalized, rumors have been circulating claiming that Alicia Keys is pregnant! Various reports on the web are saying that A. Keys is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Swizz Beatz. The couples have been dating for a year now and have received a lot of criticism and speculation over their relationship. Since 2006, Eddie Murphy and his ex Melanie Brown have not been the best of friends and on top of that, Mr. Murphy has literally had zero involvement with their 3 year old daughter Angel Iris… until now.

NY Daily News is reporting that Eddie has actually attempted to get to know his youngest daughter for the first time in her 3 year existence. Apparently, Murphy hosted some big bash at his LA mansion recently and Mel and her husband Stephen Belafonte attended the event with she and Eddie’s little girl in tow:

“All of the children were there for the party, and it appeared that they’re one big happy, blended family,” the source added. “They’ve both said some really nasty things about each other to the press,” says our source. “So needless to say, some guests were shocked.”

“Eddie’s ex-wife Nicole helped them reconcile their issues, too,” the insider said of Murphy’s ex-wife, with whom he has six kids. “Angel is Eddie’s youngest child, and Nicole wanted her children to know her. That helped Eddie to come around and get past all the animosity he had toward Mel.”

We think that it’s nice to see that Eddie Murphy is finally stepping up and accepting the fact that little Angel is indeed his daughter. It’s never too late to start building a relationship with your child, even if you did act like a big ol’ busta in the past…

Toni Braxton has been advised by her doctors not to have any more kids

Singer Toni Braxton has been advised by her doctors not to have any more kids-because a pregnancy could affect her heart condition.

She says, “I’ve been advised not to have any more children for medical reasons, so that’s it - the shop has closed, even though I would have loved a daughter. But I’m stronger now, I pretty much lead a healthy, normal life.”

In 2008, Toni was hospitalized due to a condition of her heart called microvascular angina, a condition which occurs when blood flow is restricted to the heart muscle.

Angina is the chest pain that occurs when blood flow is restricted to the heart muscle. Braxton’s condition is attributed to blockage in the small arteries. Braxton has two sons Denim and Diezel with her estranged husband Keri Lewis.
